​CARE Kenya seeks for a MEAL Officer who will support the design and establishment of the MEAL system for the preparation phase of the PEACE-RISE project in the Mandera Triangle. This role will ensure that strong monitoring, learning and accountability systems are established during the preparation phase to inform high-quality project implementation.
Working closely with the Project Manager, Program Quality, Learning and Accountability (PQLA) Manager and project partners, the MEAL Officer will support baseline and contextual assessments, development of the project results framework and MEAL plan, establishment of data collection and management systems, and documentation of learning from the preparation phase. The role will also support participatory approaches that ensure community voices, women and girls’ equality and conflict-sensitive programming are integrated into the project design and early implementation processes.
The position will play a key role in generating evidence to inform project design decisions, ensuring accountability to project participants and stakeholders, and strengthening adaptive learning across the project and partners. The MEAL officer will report directly to the PQLA Manager, with a matrix reporting structure to the Project Manager..
